Mechanical and Electronic Code Lock "Cobra"


Purpose and conditions of operation

Mechanical and Electronic Code Lock "Cobra" with a microprocessor timer control system is designed for installation in wooden and metal doors of dwellings, public buildings and facilities. The lock is designed on the basis of the concept of creating new systems of protection against unauthorized access to premises. Technical solutions of the lock are patented.

The lock remain functional at an ambient temperature from 1 to 40 °C, relative humidity of air up to 80% at 25 °C and atmospheric pressure from 630 to 800 mm Hg.

The lock has high resistance to cracking. A deadlock and a latch resist the force of 980 N (100 kg/f) applied to them for 1 min. Inner knob latch is to withstand the impact of force moment of 15 Nm (1.5 kg/f m) applied thereto for 1 minute.

The lock is resistant to electrical discharges in accordance with GOST 29191-91.

Power is supplied to the lock from a DC source with the voltage of 6V
and is achieved by using four embedded batteries AAA 1.5V.

The lock is functional within the range og power supply from 6.0 to 3.0V.


Technical data and characteristics

Lock operation mode - continuous.

Lock current consumption from power supply:

  • unlock mode - 120 mA;
  • security mode - not more than 5 μA.

The lock provides the following functions:

  1. Deadlock IO with one or two turns of a mechanical key in lock-unlock mode from the outer or inner side of the door;
  2. Latch input on the first, second or third half-turn of the mechanical key in unlock mode from the outer or inner side of the door;
  3. Automatic latch input when the door is closed;
  4. Latch output by turning the outer knob after entering the access code in unlock mode from the outer side of the door;
  5. Latch output by turning the inner knob in unlock mode from inner side of the door;
  6. Constant blocking of unconditional release mechanism in decurity mode with the ability to turn it off if necessary;
  7. Formation of sound and light service signals;
  8. Programming and multiple reprogramming of access code from the keyboard;
  9. Turn off of electronic lock access mode for 30 minutes after 5 wrong access code dialing attempts.

Number of control keyboard buttons - 4 with established technological code dialing "1-2-3-6".

The lock provides saving the access code and other software settings at batteries changing.

Lock cylinder mechanism must provide the numer of combinations of mechanical locking device (secrecy) of at least 50000.

The number of code access combinations provided by electronic timer code lock system – not less than 65000.


Reliability indices

The lock must reliably withstand 40000 cycles at an average daily boot mode at least 50 inputs and outputs.

Latch, deadlock, handles and other mechanical parts of the lock must withstand 200000 operational cycles without failure if complied with regulated requirements for imposed external mechanical loadings.

Average battery life – not less than 1 year at a maximum of 50 inputs and outputs during the day.

Average life of the lock – at least 10 years.
